So tomorrow is Obama’s big day … his first State of the Union address. And we don’t really know what he’s going to say but we have some ideas. So here are 5 things Obama could talk about and the odds that he will.
- Voting representation for DC residents: oh, aren’t you just adorable with your idealistic dreams, my cute little District of Columbian
- Repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell: possibly but I wouldn’t hold my breath. You know, the fierce urgency of whenever and all that.
- Begging Congress to just pass the freaking damn health care bill already: please, the man has practically given up on the thing. He’s moving on to this whole jobs thing.
- Spending freeze as a sign of fiscal responsibility: most assuredly
- Some blah, blah, blah about having to stay in Afghanistan: very probably
There’s nothing like a State of the Union address to make even the most amazing presidents sound small and blinder-bound. Sigh.
