- The best piece I think I have ever read about the Amish and their relationship to technology. Probably because it is written by someone who knows more about technology than the Amish — which makes a huge difference.
- It could have been Gypsy meets Witness. It could have been a hit. Because there are just not enough Amish musicals.
- The recession hits Mennonite colleges. The recession hits Mennonite strongholds. Why does the economy hate the Mennonites?
- Proving that not all Mennonites are white and live in Pennsylvania.
- Someone needs a date. Even the Amish aren’t this bitter about their lot in life.
- It is now legal to be a Mennonite in Vietnam. We are such wusses in this country.
- The paper of record weighs in on the Amish space heater and resolves all of our questions.
- Remember him? Americans love a comeback story particularly if it involves uses of the phrase “Mennonite mode.”
- The Mennonites and Catholics are getting along again!
- Honestly, it would be maybe the best M. Night Shyalaman movie since Unbreakable. And would explain an awful lot about the Amish. And I would totally 3> Zak Efron as a cutie-patootie, probably gay, Amish teenager.

Over the weekend, here in the lovely city of Lancaster, I saw an Amish man winding down the sidewalk in an electric wheelchair. The first thing I wondered was which bishop had approved that. Definitely not Luddites.
I liked the statement, regarding the amish heaters, where the one individual turned their thermostat down to 68 degrees and still their heating bill increased. My suggestion is to turn down the thermostat to 65 degrees, wear a flannel long sleeve shirt or sweat shirt, and then turn your amish heater on. Also open up the shades and let the sunshine in; surprising how much natural sunshine can warm up a room. Just be sure to let the shades down in the summer time to keep things a little cooler.
That was a very interesting article, glad you pulled it out. We had also noticed in an increase in advertising in some of the magazines we have received.
