As I stood waiting for the bus on Sunday morning, watching all manner of helicopters fly overhead — Marine One, DC police, Coast Guard (?!), Army — I thought of all the hopes and dreams we’ve invested in this new president. And I realized something.
That if he can’t make the freaking D8 — aka, the most annoying bus line in all of DC — run on freaking time, then what good is he to me?
Seriously, the bus never came. I was 40 minutes late. I was in such a bad mood that not even Lady GaGa could get me out of it.
But some venting and a little T.I. and all was good later in the evening.
So if Obama can’t make the buses run on time, if he can at least ensure that somewhere a little T.I. is always playing, then maybe he’ll turn out to be a decent guy after all.

I’ve already decided that if he doesn’t come and give me a little child care relief when I’m trying to write a paper to further my education, I’m SO NOT going to vote for him. I don’t care if he’s busy.
My dad used to fly Marine One. Sorry for the distractions. Whenever I’m in DC these days I always get a kick out of seeing them flying by the Jefferson Memorial!
