She even had a book that she gave us that warned us all of the world&#039;s end if barcoding caught on. Though she lived to see barcodes as a part of everyday life, I do wonder how comfortable she was in any given store.

I don&#039;t get the cell phone link...how can the Amish use cell phones, period? Do they share a phone like some share a land line? Still...My phone needs to be charged once a day and my car charger doesn&#039;t do it on a typical 20-minute trip. Is the Verizon store a long trip for the Amish cell-phone user?
