Poor Messiah College.  You get yourself in the US News and  World Report, you grow a kick-ass accounting program, you let the kids have blogs, you spend all this time and effort to

… educate men and women toward maturity of intellect, character and Christian faith in preparation for lives of service, leadership and reconciliation in church and society.

And what happens?  These kids go to Regent University, get law degrees, work for the Bush Administration in the Department of InJustice and end up not only breaking the law but also singled out by the ethics office of that very department as a spectacularly shining example of Rovian politics to boot.

Oh, and get their alma mater made fun of by Bill Mahrer.

If I were Messiah, I’d try even harder to blame Monica Goodling on Regent University (run that Mahrer clip, run it often).  Because nothing in the search string she used suggests that

her behavior was nothing but Christ-like. I have no doubt that this has carried over into her career on Capitol Hill.

Although there are probably people at Messiah who would disagree (and they should — check out page 4); clearly she wouldn’t have hired any of them for a job.
