Until Christmas?  Who cares because hopefully Christmas will come early this year.  Like on November 4.  Which is a mere 100 days from now.

I know it seems as if the campaigning has gone on forever (because it has) but it was only 2 years ago or so that the first candidates stepped their fresh, rosy little selves into Iowa.  Oh Biden and Dodd, Guiliani and the teasing Fred Thompson.  You are but a distant, nostalgic memory of a more innocent, less wearied time.

Soon our long national slogfest of a nightmarish and endless presidential election will be over.  Or will it?  Will again that Tuesday night turn into a Wednesday morning and then stretch over weeks?  Screw it.  Think happy thoughts.  That only 100 days separates us from the beginning of the 2012 campaign.
