So did everyone have a good time these last six thousand years? Ok, so maybe I’m exaggerating a teeny bit. I mean, the Iowa caucuses were a mere six months ago — which is the equivalent to an eon only in political time.
But it should all be over tonight. Unless its not. There are contradictory messages coming out of the Clinton camp but everyone else seems to be doing lovely, bittersweet eulogies for Clinton and not so bittersweet eulogies about the end of the Clinton era. Which, honestly, only Bill Clinton mourns for.
And I can’t blame her for wanting to exit on her own terms, rather than as an afterthought to Obama’s victory party. Let her take some time to say a proper goodbye.
I’ve got CNN on and about every 5 minutes, Obama gets another superdelegate in his column which means that Montana and South Dakota will push him over tonight even if they split the states between them. And Wolf Blitzer hasn’t been this frenzied since … I don’t know .. ever. I know it’s hard to tell with him sometimes but his voice definitely went up a notch. Ooh, I think it even just cracked a little. Seriously, he’s almost peeing his pants with excitement.
And as far as Clinton offering to be the vice-president nominee to help save the party, this Daily Kos post says it best.
