My embarrassment is helped along by amateur movie music videos on YouTube. Somehow, these movies look even cheesier when cut to sappy music.
- The Cutting Edge: my most guilty pleasure ever! Finger-painting? Toe pick! It’s all good, folks. Except they made a sequel and then another. Which are just bad.
- Never Been Kissed: Drew Barrymore is cute. Michael Varten is adorable. And it might be David Arquette’s best role ever. But still, it’s just a wee bit creepy to think of him perving on her thinking she’s his student. But hey, no need to rent this one because you can see the whole thing on YouTube.
- Housesitter: I think it should be better than it actually is. Trust me, the clip is really the funniest scene in the whole film. And yet, still, I watch it every time it’s on basic cable.
- While You Were Sleeping: Somehow seeing it as a psychological thriller makes it seem like a better film.
- Miss Congeniality: why are there two Sandra Bullock movies on this list? Maybe she’s the actress I’m embarrassed to love. Although watching this 8-minute summary makes me love the movie even more.

One of my high-school friends is in “Ms. Congeniality 2.” I kid you not. A one-word speaking role, no less.
