I did … I thought it was hilarious! And then I get all curious … .Is she Mennonite? Do I know her? Does she know people I know? Why are they talking about Menno?
It also makes me think that those Denver Mennonites have way more interesting dinner parties than I do in DC.
So are a lot of us mennonites into gluten-free? I’m guessing celiac disease might be just one of the many deformities we have in our genetic code thanks to 500 years of inbreeding.

We have several people in our congregation who are on wheat-free diets … so for communion there’s always the spelt bread line
I don’t think we’re the only urban Mennonite church that does it either.
